Counting down to a Year!

I guess the Tooth Fairy heard my plea! Two teeth popped through this month. They are her 2 bottom teeth. She is enjoying the help as she bites off pieces to eat. We are brushing them everynight. She enjoys the tickle of the brush in her mouth. How exciting! It only made her occassionally crabby, but who wouldn't be!

Illa is still scooting around. Her teacher calls her "Scooterbutt". It really is funny to watch her scoot her way around. However, walking is in the near future. She has been pulling her self up and cruising along the tables. Andy and I are crossing our fingers that she will walk for Christa's wedding. Regardless, she will the most beautiful flower girl, no matter how she gets down the aisle.

We are looking forward to our trip to California. My little shopper and I have been picking out dresses for our excursion. We have one for every occassion on the trip. It will be our first plane ride, so of course I am anxious, but I know she'll be a trooper!

Illa is talking more and more. It is the secret language of baby, but she does a lot of pointing now to help Andy and understand what she wants or needs.

Big News Alert: Illa got her ears pierced this month too. They are little flowers and are just precious. Check them out in her pictures!

We enjoyed our Fourth of July together. Illa, Aunt Rachel and I went to a parade. What a hoot! She clapped as floats went by and even waved at people. Someone came by to give her a necklace and the firemen put a sticker on her! Later that day we went to a park to await the fireworks show. I always cried and held my ears and dreaded she would do the same, but she was just the opposite! She sat in awe the whole time. At times she would point and babble or clap. But the entire time her mouth was open in amazement. It is so neat to see the wonder as they experience things for the first time!

Father's Day was great. Illa got Andy a money clip with her picture in it and had "Daddy" engraved on it. Of course it melted Andy's heart! She sure loves her daddy!

Here we are now, just a month away from a year! Next month will be pictures from her party. It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant and getting her room all ready for her arrival. Now almost a year has passed and Andy and I have treasured every moment and can't wait for more!

It's not all fun and games!
