Another Month of Growing - 8

What a scootin' month...literally! Illa is scooting everywhere. She gets in a rhythm, and she is gone! She wants to stand and walk holding any set of willing hands. Hopefully she will be walking by Cousin Christa's wedding in August. The doctor says some babies skip crawling...I think Illa just may be one of those.

Illa will eat about anything. We are slowly getting away from jar baby food and doing table food. She is one serious eater! She is 18lbs, which is a perfect weight, so the doctor says to let her call the shots when it comes to eatin' time. She has a variety of foods: pancakes, green breans, mango, black olives, french toast....it is pretty much a buffet at all meal times. Illa has also discovered how fun it is to throw things off the highchair for us to pick up or the dogs to eat.

We went to the park a few times this month. She loves to swing. I would hold my hands out to get out of the swing and she would just kick and wave her hands around. We bought a little plastic swing and slide set for the backyard so we can swing anytime! Illa also has a pool and a sand box. Next month will be one of exploring and discovering.

Illa has perfected the clap and the wave this month. She claps when she is excited, or waits to clap with us after she has completed something amazing. Sneezes among other things like being tickled make her laugh out loud. That has to be my favorite sound.

I can't wait to spend mother's day with her and see what month 9 will bring!
